Job DetailsJob Details:
We are seeking a dynamic and highly-skilled Technical Project Manager (PM) to join our innovative technology team.
This is a permanent position that will focus primarily on managing and implementing technology projects related to Point of Sale (POS) systems, particularly Toshiba ACE and LOC SMS.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, coupled with excellent project management skills.
The role will require occasional travel to customer work sites or other locations for training purposes.
Previous experience in the retail industry, specifically in grocery stores, is highly desirable.
Responsibilities:
1.
Lead the planning and implementation of POS system projects, specifically Toshiba ACE and LOC SMS.
2.
Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables.
3.
Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
4.
Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear manner.
5.
Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
6.
Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
7.
Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
8.
Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
9.
Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
10.
Track project milestones and deliverables.
11.
Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
12.
Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
13.
Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
14.
Build, develop, and grow business relationships vital to the success of the project.
Qualifications:
1.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
2.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Technical Project Manager in the technology sector, with a focus on POS systems, particularly Toshiba ACE and LOC SMS.
3.
Proven experience in project management methodologies, principles, and tools.
4.
Specific experience in application management and the retail industry, preferably in grocery stores.
5.
Strong leadership, diplomatic, and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across, and down multiple business and technology organizations.
6.
Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
7.
Excellent leadership, communication (written, verbal, and presentation), and interpersonal skills.
8.
Self-motivated, decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands.
9.
Experience in successfully leading projects and programs to on-time, on-schedule, and within budget close.
10.
Experience leading, motivating, and managing various project and program team sizes, including internal and external resources, while holding team accountable for performance.
11.
Flexibility to travel to customer work sites or other locations for training as needed.
12.
Certifications in Project Management (PMP) would be an added advantage.
